Today I went to a special spot called Battlement Mesa, off of Morgan Rd and the Broken Arrow trail. Near Submarine Rock, Twin Buttes and Chicken Point. I’ve been doing some research on the area an just watched “Broken Arrow” the old western film. Great hike beautiful views.

December 21st marks the first day of winter and is the shortest day of the year for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. It marks a time of colder months to come. After the Winter Solstice, each day becomes longer until the longest day of the year arrives around June 21st, the summer solstice.
The term solstice comes from the Latin word solstitium, meaning ‘the Sun stands still’. This is because, on this day, the Sun reaches its southern-most position as seen from the Earth. The Sun seems to stand still and then reverses its direction. It’s also common to call it the day the Sun turns around.
Long ago, we use to honor this time because we had such a deep spiritual connection to what it meant for us.
Many Native American tribes would observe the winter solstice through rites and rituals that honor our ancestors, beliefs, and is also a way of offering prayer and gratitude.
Traditionally, a prayer stick or paho was made by each family member starting four days before the solstice. Then on the day of the solstice, the head of the household would dig small holes and the members would plant the prayer sticks in the holes. They were then given back to the earth in honor of our ancestors. It was common for family members to all participate in ceremony.
Prayer sticks are most commonly made out of a piece of forked cedar that was equivalent in length from your elbow to your fingertips.
In a respectful way, you would find a tree that you feel a deep connection with then ask it permission and offer tobacco, if you can have this part of it to use for your ceremony. You will know by listening to your intuition whether you are permitted or not. Most often, if done in a respectful way, you will be permitted.
Once permission was granted, you could then begin to personalize and decorate the stick with your medicine.
In Prayer, you would begin to add sacred items to your stick. Some of the most common ways to decorate would be to remove or carve into the bark. You can add a feather, traditionally turkey feathers were used. Tobacco may be placed in a red cloth and tied to the stick. Fur, bones, teeth and other parts of animals can be added depending on the type of prayer or medicine you wish to bring forth into your life.
Happy winter solstice everyone!
Hey! Spiritual Entrepreneurs! A bit of business advice… How can you “charge what you are worth” when you are priceless? Are you caught up in an endless battle between charging and serving? I understand really…. been there. Well, here’s the truth. At this Time in history, here and now, the moment, reality, being present and looking at what’s right in front of you… (tomorrow may be different) but right now… you need money to live, right? So how do you charge? How can you make a living or better yet, how can you create an abundant life doing what you love? I bet you’d love a simple answer to that. Should be easy right? Good news! It is easy…
All you have to do is imagine how much money you would like to receive. Per session, per hour, per day, per week, per month, per year… in ten years. Trust what your intuition provides you and… Here’s the secret…
Ask for it. Ask for it, ask for it, ask for it.
How do you ask for it?
Well, when you see an opportunity, any opportunity… Ask for it? “Would you be interested in trying a session with me?”
They will say yes or no.
No… why not? This is just the beginning of the conversation!
Yes, great! Schedule the session.
Stand in your power and play the game that you were born into… and win!
Love not the money, but what the money can help you create!
Make a list of what you would do with a lot of money. Yes, do it now. Make the list.
It’s okay to have a lot of money!
Woke up this morning with this thought… I know several people including myself that can feel a big shift coming, it seems so close and our spirits long for it. We want it right now! We get frustrated and impatient. Truth is that it’s not coming, it’s already here and we’ve been adapting to it very slowly. If it were just to happen all at once, it would be too much for us to handle. Call it 3D to 5D, new paradigm, the shift in consciousness, ascension or whatever.
So when you feel this feeling of something big about to happen or something great coming, just take a deep breath and say thank you to your Creator knowing that it’s happening now and that feeling you just got was you experiencing it, a slow integration that’s been happening for years. This is what it’s like to live in the now. This moment. The Hopi prophecy speaks of it. It is rapidly approaching now as the collective consciousness aligns with this vibration or frequency.
What now? Look at what is in front of you right now. Give attention and appreciation for it. Love it or them. This is what you are feeling. Gratitude for what you already have, not what’s coming. BE HUMAN.
The key to all of this is to be grateful for what you already have by living in the now.
A few weeks ago… I was noticing all the different animal tracks on the trail. Wondering what their purpose was during the time when they were at that exact location. Then I sat down to make some crafts (my office in nature) and pulled a card for the day. Of course it would be “Tracker.” The message is to stay focused on one goal and not to scatter myself in too many directions. So I imagined what would be the one thing I would want to focus on today and it was to make sure my boat was pointed downstream. Not upstream, padding hard to get through the day, but to remember in each moment to throw the oars over the boat and let my thoughts, feelings and actions float gently down the stream. Not as easy at it may seem but I managed. Noticing all the synchronicities. When one thing didn’t work out there was a reason or there was something better shortly ahead. Wondering what one thing the animals were each focused on. They never try to force anything. Great lesson here.
Exercise: Write down everything you want to do. Then narrow it down to one thing that you could focus your attention on.
I just want to say now… a few weeks later I am totally focused and have already completed a huge project! Launching all my online training courses. Done!
If you already have your Massage Therapy training and license then you can learn how to incorporate the amazing power of healing and offer a “Soul Retrieval Massage!”
You know how some massage therapists do reiki during their session, well, this is just as powerful!
Whoa, right! Yeah, these two modalities are like peanut butter and jelly, they just go very well together.
You definitely want to add this to your menu.
